Integrating Commented with Slack: Step by Step

Step 1: Access Workspace

  • Log in to your Commented account.

  • Navigate to the desired workspace or project.

Step 2: Enable and Authorize Slack Integration

  • In the workspace or project, click on the "Integrations" button on the upper right side of your screen.

  • Choose the "Slack" integration option from the list on the left side of your screen.

  • Click on "Add to Slack" at the bottom of your screen.

  • A new window will open, requesting permission to access your Commented workspace. Grant the necessary permissions and click on the "Allow" button.

Log in to your Slack account if prompted.

  • When the connection process is done, you’ll receive a notification on the upper right side of your screen.

Step 3: Configure Slack Settings

  • After authorization, you'll be redirected back to Commented.

  • Configure the settings to determine the project name in the Commented and the Slack channel where notifications will be sent.

Using Commented’s Slack Integration

  • Get Notified:

Instantly receive notifications in your chosen Slack channel for every new comment, reply, or annotation in your Commented projects.

  • Reply in Thread:

See your Commented comments in Slack and reply to them right in the thread. Similarly, you can view the comments you've posted in Slack on Commented!

New replies in your Commented project will be added to your Slack thread, and vice versa. Dive into discussions, address concerns, and collaborate seamlessly with your team, all without leaving Slack.
